Edocuments platform has the ability to connect to other software environments via API's primarily to enable file and metadata synchronization.

To synchronize files between Edocuments Platform the Aconex CDE.

  1. Customer CDE Manager will need to add a User Name within the Aconex Project which has API access.
  2. Within the Edocuments Platform Management Page, the Edocuments PM will need to Set up the User and assign the role as Integrations Manager by navigating to the User Management Modal.
  3. If this role isn't displayed in the dropdown, then it will need to be added to the project Security Role.

Once the connection has been established between Aconex CDE project and Edocuments Platform, filters can be set to control which files are to be synced.

Filter style queries can be set on the file meta data attributes labels with conditions set to meet specific values.

Once set, select > Sync enabled and then > Save Configuration.

Typically files will sync every 2-3 hours.

The ability to chain queries together allows the user to filter down to the few files they are interested in while reducing the number of files they are pulling for a single sync form.

The more complex the query the slower the sync process will be.

Once the information is complete the user can turn off the sync and save the configuration.
