02. Fire Safety Information - How to Use

The Information Providers form contains a series of drop downs and controls, which are accessed using the > EDIT button.

The controls on the top right of the screen allows you to add and delete rows and download to Excel.

The Fire Safety information Requirements form consists of two sub sections.

 

  • Part1 Requirements - There are 4 columns in view, Requirement reference, Fire Safety Information requirement, Information Status and Evidence Ref .
  • Part 2  Files - Enables files to be uploaded and meta data for those files to be added. Click here for guidance.

 

Note: The Part 2 Files block can be replaced with a "File Block Sync" form which can be connected to other file stores e.g. Autodesk ACC, Asite, Aconex etc. This enables the files and meta data to be automatically syncronised. Contact your platform administrator for details.

 

To edit, click the "View/Edit details" button on each form.

When the "View/Edit details" button is selected in the Part 1 Requirements form modal will appear.

  • Viewing Systems: View and edit information within other forms in the tree menu in the current view. e.g. IEP-C, IEP-D etc.
  • Viewing Classifications: View and edit information other forms within the system in the current view e.g. Form-01, Form -02 etc.

 

There are 4 columns in view.

  1. Ref - Index which is usually preset and should be followed in more requirements are to be added.
  2. Fire Safety Information  - preset detail, which should not be modified. 
  3. Information Status - a (customizable) drop down list with default
    1. Attached - the evidence file is located in the Part 2 file block or a link has been added.
    2. Awaited - evidence is awaited.
    3. n/a - not applicable to this project.
    4.  TBC  - awaiting confirmation if this is required.
  4. Evidence Ref - this cell has the ability to provide the functions detailed in figure 04a.
  5. Notes - Free text field restricted to 50 characters.

Clicking on the "Evidence Ref" cell will by default, activate a file search. This will enable you to find any files that already exist in this document. You can search by File Reference, File Description or Company.

 

For example, for a project following a BS EN ISO 19650 naming convention the  "Evidence Ref" could be:

PRO1-EDO-ZZ-01-D-O-000001_L1SKETCH-S5-P1.01.

 

If the Evidence Ref is not a file then you have the following options which are accessed by >right clicking the schedule cell > selecting "Set Value" and then on of the following options.

 

  • n/a  - inserts n/a (not applicable) into the cell
  • TBC -  inserts TBC (to be confirmed) into the cell
  • Blank - remove any values in the cell
  • Custom - add to appear in the cell.
  • External link - add a URL link in the cell
